2016 continues to shape up for another wonderfull event as we expand not only the Friday and Saturday venues but expanding the educational program. If your School District would like a visit/program presented contact us today!

 

We have a aerial photographer that will film and actually distribute the video to us for this event. We also will be working with ground photography as well!

 

The CAF will be Participating as well and having some very special announcments and offers! Stay tuned for details

 

 

Friday Night USO Show - We will have Lynn Roberts AKA Bob Hope joining the event again along with the Gainesville Swing Orchestra! Doors open at 5:00 and event starts at 6:00

 

Patton will be returning in full force. He will bring his CCKW HQ along with his Commnad Car and Jeep. He will have his War Room set-up and providing intel and education for the spectators all day!

Nimitz Museum will be on site with weapons demonstrations all day!

Saturday on the base will be much larger camps this year, we will also bring campsites down the hill in into what was last year vendor area. There also will be a large company street of tents this year provided by Camp Howze MVPA.

Patton Hidden in Plain Sight

Great News as we have a special relationship now with Larry Stevenson Host of the Larry Stevenson Show and a fellow patriot and supporter of our event and efforts. He will have a LIVE REMOTE on October 1st 2016 onsite! He has a true heart as well for the eduation of our younger generation in learning our history and the honor due to veterans that we can never repay or thank enough!

Tune in as we will give exclusive event updates on the airwaves that will only be heard on the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will have  a period Mess Kitchen this year! For MV Convoy we will provide breakfast at 0600 prior to convoy. For reenactors not sleeping in we will have breakfast serving until 0800!

Lunch will be served by period mess kitchen to all reenactors that present their period mess kit, so dont forget your kit as this is how you will get your lunch provided Saturday October 1st 2016!

Special Ceromony will start mid morning with special guest speakers, more details coming soon!

August 2016  -  Updates  

Patton and 3rd Army association - shall have several shows throughout day.

Morton Museum of Cooke County  - will have a complete mobile museum on Camp Howze History, the 103rd, 84th, and 86th divisions stationed in Gainesville during WWII.

The National Museum of the Pacific War from Fredricksburg, TX - will run weapon demonstrations throughout day.

Texas Military Forces Museum from Camp Mabry Austin TX - will be on property and operating the Hetzer German Tank crew.

The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) will be on property and providing equipment TBA!

Saturday Morning Convoy will return this year. Last year was great fun and we are working on adding/changing the route for any returning participants.

 

So get your vehicle ready, change the oil and check the tires as there is plenty of room to drive around in the period atmosphere. Or you can take farm to market roads all over the area what use to be Camp Howze all the way up to Red River if you want to!
